The DSG Prom is a magical event for a person with a developmental disability (age 15 and older). Our guests with disabilities are encouraged to bring a date (with or without a disability) to dance the night away. The prom is not a family function. We encourage parents to seek out a friend, cousin or other family member to chaperone if support is needed. Parents should take the night off so their son/daughter can have an authentic prom experience. We will host parent observation from 9:00PM-9:30PM.

Chaperones: If the attendee with a disability needs a chaperone or support staff they can register one individual to assist. If the attendee does not need a chaperone to support with eating and restroom needs, please do not register a chaperone as it takes a spot away from a person with I/DD attending. There are plenty of volunteers to chaperone the event for safety and making sure no attendee is alone. We appreciate you understaing. If you are registering with a group home, please contact the DSG at 913-384-4848.

We encourage you to DRESS UP and dance the night away with us at the 2016 Under the Big Top prom! There are no professional images taken onsite so be sure to BRING YOUR CAMERA along to capture some great memories!

Please make sure you print and complete the waiver form attached with your registration confirmation. If you need another Media Release & Waiver Form you can download one HERE.

Registration closes March 1st OR when we meet our maximum capacity of 700 attendees, and NO EXCEPTIONS will be made!

DSG dinner seating is limited and will sell out. All registration MUST be done online. There will be no additional registrations completed at Prom. If you need help registering for this event or if you have any questions you can call the Down Syndrome Guild at 913-384-4848.

Parking Information:

Parking for the convention center is in the back. Guests will have to go up the escalator and walk about 30 yards to get to the registration. Guests may be dropped off in the round-a-bout drive located on College Blvd. by the Sheraton Hotel if walking is an issue.
